I'm a Figurative Artist.  I draw using charcoal or graphite sticks and paint in oils.

Using a small hand held board I draw habitually, figures walking in the street, people chatting on corners, dogs on leads or to their annoyance, my kids at home.

I try to capture movement by working hard and fast.  When I paint I am often out of control and rely on my drawing skill to produce instinctive work which will hopefully have all the ingredients I'm looking for.

I want my paintings to have mystery, beauty and a familiar sense of moment that we can all appreciate.
